How To Install a Bafang E-Bike Mid-Drive Conversion Kit

First of all, remove the pedals from your bike using the pedal wrench then take off the crank arm bolt with an 8mm Allen wrench. Take off the crank arm entirely using the right tool for your bike.
Now remove the chain of your bike and front derailleur (if your bike has one) then use a bottom bracket removal tool to take off the bottom bracket.
If you have mechanical brakes now take off the front brake cable and remove the brake, shift and front assembly.
Next, slide your Bafang motor into the bottom bracket shell on your bike and secure it with a Y-shaped motor bracket. Install M6 bolts onto your bike using a 5mm Allen wrench.
Screw the grey M33 lock nut on exposed threads making sure the flat side is facing the bike and arrow is clockwise, tighten the locknut afterwards as well as the M6 locknuts.
Install and tighten the outer black M33 locknut then assemble the speed sensor into its mount.
Attach the speed sensor into the chainstay and install the magnet onto the wheel spoke, align the magnet with the speed sensor and secure it with zip ties. Attach the speed sensor with the speed pedometer.
Connect your wiring harness into the motor assembly and install the LCD on the handlebars, at this stage you can slide the brake lever onto the handlebar too and tighten with a 5mm Allen wrench.
Take your brake cable and reinstall it, you can slide the throttle on too then connect it all to the wiring harness which should be colour coded.
Now install the chainrings using the right bolts and tighten, use the supplied screws and install the crank arms with an 8mm wrench.
Reinstall the pedals on each side and reinstall the chain for the bike.
Take your battery and remove the water bottle mount, install the battery mount instead where this was and plug the battery mount into the motor leads.
Slide the battery onto the mount and lock it into place turning the key.
